How Do I Know If I Need a Healing Retreat?

Retreats are emotional journeys, but they are also beautiful and rewarding ones. They allow you to fully open up, and connect with your true self, known as your inner Goddess, with whom you may not have previously been aware.

What is a healing retreat?

There are many different types of healing retreats to choose from, so it can be difficult to pin them down to one category or definition.

At Goddess Retreats, we feel that a healing retreat is a ‘transformative’ retreat. ‘Transformation’ literally means to rise above or transcend the boundaries that the external world generally imposes. This means that different ‘inner essences’ are held in the same form,….or perhaps in other words, that we are different in . So, changing an orange to a pineapple is not a transformation, but changing an orange to an orange that looks like a pineapple can be a transformation.

The external world can still be the same as it was before a person underwent their inner transformation. What is different is a person’s thinking or awareness and how they approach the world.

Why are healing retreats so great for women?

As women, we are naturally empathetic and intuitive, which means we experience emotions deeply. This means that it is impossible to avoid all the pain, grief, and trauma in our lives. When these moments come, we have different ways of dealing with and dealing with them. While some women seek professional help or therapy to help with the healing process, many of us tend to downplay our emotions or focus on other things, assuming or hoping that time will heal all wounds.

Time can help the healing process. However, unhealed grief or trauma, on the other hand, has a habit of coming back into our lives in different ways. It can be through physical illness, limiting beliefs or fears that we can’t seem to change, or simply a persistent low energy state that creates heaviness, brain fog, or blocks you from living your life to the fullest.

Over time, we can build walls around our emotions that we believe are ‘protecting’ us. In reality, they are blocking our ability to heal and move forward. Healing retreat provide a safe, supportive, and energizing environment for witnessing trapped emotions or past traumas.

At the end of a retreat, a common sentiment we hear from guests is how much they feel lighter or how they have reconnected with a deep sense of peace and joy. As we experience transformation, we can be inspired by new possibilities for ourselves as we release old ways of seeing things. We can forgive ourselves and others as we release past traumas that have held us back in life. We may feel inspired to do things we have been putting off, excited to start a new relationship, career, or business; or we may begin to make small, everyday life decisions that truly align with our inner values.

The healing journey is also individual, and your retreat experience will be unique to your individual goals. Health and healing retreats offer workshops and ceremonies to help you connect with your heart’s purpose, what you want to manifest in your life, what you are ready to release, and offer comfort that allows us to connect with what we need in our lives to realize the healing process. In this regard, the best healing retreats are those that reconnect us to our healers in a few simple ways in our everyday lives.
